Ratty Black
A tough finish and a frame designed for the streets
Ratty Black is a finish we use on our custom single-speed bikes for urban cycling. It’s available on either a regular men’s frame or a step-through women’s option. Both are built with Columbus Spirit tubesets and lightweight Columbus Minimal forks.
London bike blogger, Jools Walker (AKA Velo City Girl), described her Ratty Black as “sleek, gritty and sexy” and we completely agree with her.
The fillet-brazed construction creates a smooth, beautifully contoured weld that gives the frame a clean and almost seamless appearance. We chose this method because it allows our expert frame builder, Lee Cooper, to work more freely with the unconventional angles of the step-through frame.
